2026-2027 Tuition Rates and Rules
Tuition is payable in 9 installments, and payments are due 10 days after billing date every month beginning August and ending April. A late fee of $25.00 will be added if not paid on time. A fee of $25.00 will be added for all returned checks. If tuition is not paid within 5 days after the late fee is assessed, the child may be withheld from class until the bill is paid in full.
Voluntary prekindergarten (VPK) is a state program designed to prepare every child in Florida for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success.
REGISTRATION POLICY:
Registration for the new school year begins in January. Re-enrollment for those currently attending Good Shepherd is completed by the submission of a re-enrollment form and the $400 non-refundable registration/ application fee. Applications for new students will be accepted in March and will be processed after the re-enrollment deadline in April. Acceptance of new students will be on a first come/first served basis. Waiting lists will be formulated once classes have reached their capacity. To reserve your student’s spot, your $400 non-refundable registration/ application fee must be paid at the time of registration.
Applications for new students will be processed as they are received. Upon acceptance, the registration/application fee must be paid in full.
ENROLLMENT POLICIES:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has a strong commitment to provide a Christian school experience for the children of its own membership and those of sister Lutheran Churches. We welcome parents and students who are not members of the Lutheran Church. This includes members of other Christian denominations, as well as those with no current church home. However, all students are expected to participate in the religious instruction classes offered by our school.
While it is always our desire to give every child the benefits of our program, we will attempt to serve every learning and behavioral need. The decision to admit a child into our school program will be made through an assessment of the child’s previous academic performance. If the child, after enrollment, presents behavioral or other problems, we will talk with the child and initiate a behavioral plan. If needed, parents will be contacted for a meeting. We reserve the right to remove the child if the situation is not resolved.
PreK applicants must be developmentally ready and must be toilet trained before they are accepted in the program. If a child does not reach the age of 3 on or before September 1 of the school year, they will be required to repeat the PreK-3 program the following year.
VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) applicants must be developmentally ready before they are accepted in the program unless they have previously attended GSLS's PreK. The child must have reached the age of 4 on or before September 1 of the school year to be eligible for admission to the VPK program.
TRANSFER PROCEDURES
Any student transferring into Good Shepherd Lutheran School from another school is required to present:
1) a health record
2) birth certificate
3) social security number,
4) the most recent report card from the student’s previous school.
Good Shepherd Lutheran School reserves the right to refuse new admissions or re-admissions of any students based upon their specific learning or behavioral needs.
When withdrawing from the school, a three-day notice is requested. The school office needs this time for proper accounting of grades, textbooks, fees, and other materials. No records will be transferred until all outstanding accounts have been satisfied. Good Shepherd Lutheran School will verify that any student who withdraws for whatever reason does indeed enroll in another school or registers with the state as a home school student as required by statute. Any prepaid tuition will be refunded by prorating daily from the first day of the student’s final month with 30 days advance notice of a withdrawal. Otherwise, a full month’s tuition will be charged for the final month and then any remaining prepaid tuition will be refunded.

VPK is free for all children 4 years of age in Florida. Call 1-866-FL-READY or (850) 983-5313 or go online to https://www.elcsantarosa.org and go to the parent link to complete the voucher.
